diy: dries van noten inspired shorts.

diy shorts, elizabeth and james blouse, loeffler randall sandals.

A little late on this DIY. I wanted to try it as soon as I saw the Dries Van Noten bleached jeans earlier this year but just didn't seem to find the time (or the right pair of old jeans) till now when I was digging through some of my mom's old jeans. I didn't originally intend to ombre these shorts, just bleach them in the same blunt fashion as Dries Van Noten did...but halfway through I decided I'd like an ombre effect better. All I did was follow WhoWhatWear's tutorial and slowly add water to the original water/bleach mixture to make the water level rise while diluting the bleach at the same time, creating the ombre effect.
Such a nice touch to a basic summer outfit.

I love these so much! I really like cuffed shorts, that's almost all I wear lately. I doubt I could get this right, though. But they look wonderful! Hope to see a post of you wearing them soon.
